2nd session start

My 2nd session in PGIC started last Tuesday.
I felt strange because there weren't Erika,Kaori and Matt.
Natsumi and Monica take business course in this session.
The half of our classmates are changed.

I am used to the school life after one month.
I want to participate more and get high score in the tests.
I'm going to take a front seat and speak out more than previous session.

In this session, I take "assertivensse skill"class and "paragraph writting"class.
I worried about whether I could follow the lesson or not.
I've heard Bill(paragraph writting class teacher) is very good teacher, so I will do my best.

Unfortunately, I should've been absent from the 1st lesson of "assertiveness skill".
I had to go to the dentist and have treatment.
I had appointment at 8:30am.
It took 40 minutes for the root canal treatment.
I had a hard time of it because the treatment was painful.
I felt it took over 1 hour.
I was really sad because my cheek was swelled up again.

After the treatment, I was going to go to the school but I couldn't.
As the anesthetic wears off, I felt sore ...

Anyway, now I'm happy because my problem was over.

Today's supper was pan-fried vegetables and prawn with unmilled rice.
I didn't think I could eat that kind of rice.
It tasted really good.

My mother left the hospital today.
We talked for a while by Skype.
I was relieve because she looked healthy.

so boring...

My cold seemed to get worth than yesterday...
It's caused by leaving my hair half-dry?

Today's afternoon class was so difficult for me...
I didn't understand what Sandra said completely.
Should I change the class next session?

This session will finish in 7 days (except weekend).
How fast the time passes!!
I should completely understand whtat I learnt in this session
before the next session starts.

I joined the Accent Reduction Workshop (ARW) today.
There were only 2 students ( include me).
We did only repeat the vowel sounds (/Uw/,/U/,/Ow/) that the teacher said.
After that, we did the computer program that we can check the pronunciation.
It's so boring time...
Tomorrow I will join the CCC.
I hope that "Paul.C" is good teacher.

Today's supper was flied rice and shrimp with chile source.
These were yummy!!

Today I did an individual presentation.
The article I chose was "Forbidden City Starbucks replaced".

This morning I got up at 4am and prepared for this presentation, but I should have prepared more.
Though I tried to make eye contact and speak without looking at my notes I sometimes faltered.
Anyway, I'm really happy to have finished my presentation!!

After school I went to Chibi and had a mini-TOEIC test.
I was exhausted.
I'm not sure...but I can hear better than before?

On my way home, I went to a bookstore named BOOK WAREHOUSE.
There were many BARGAIN PRICE books.
I bought 2 books. These cost only $3.16. So cheap!!

Today I am wearing a new sweater.
Matt knew my sweater cost $19 because his girlfrind bought the same one.
(and the same color)
I felt embarassed.

Yesterday I had a runny nose and a sore throat.
I felt better today but I've got to keep on my guard.

September 25th
After shcool I went to Chibi and dined out with Misa, Tetsu, Kori and Anne.
We went to an "All You Can Eat" restaurant on Broadway.

September 24th
Me and Kori had a beauty treatment.
When I was waiting for Kaori to finish I watched the movie "Benny & Joon" while eating a Chinese meal.
We had a happy time.
After that we went to Maple Delights but we didn't meet Anne and Yumiko.
Kaori and I went shopping and I bought a bag(GAP) and a sweater.

Walk & Eat

Today, I got up at 8:00am.
I had breackfast and had chat with Kaori and Anamaria.
We taught language each other.
I leant "Mucho gusto"(Nice to meet you),"Soy Aki"(My name is Aki),
"Soy de Japon"(I'm from Japan).
Anamaria was so excited. She is so funny.

At 11:30am, Me and Kaori left home, and went for a walk.
We walked around the Qeen Elizabeth Park.
After that, we walk on the main st.
And we went to bakery and pizza-shop and STARBUCKS.
We had walked for a long time. About 3 hours!!

After we came home, we watched the movie " There's something about Mary".
I know that movie because it made big hit in Japan.
But I didn't imagine that it's such a coarse movie.
How awful!!

Anamaria and children came back home about 7:00pm.
And we had supper at 8:00pm.
We talked about some good restaurant.
Anamaria said that she would take us these restaurant someday.
I look forward to it!

After the supper, We watched the movie " Wizard of Oz".
It's old movie, so sometimes looks so cheap.
But story and songs are good.
We enjoyed, but in the middle we became sleepy.
We gave up. We'll watch the rest of the movie tomorrow.

I'm drowsy...Good night.

Happy Friday

Today I had only a morning class.
I had a mini-test and my score was better than I thought.
I felt relieved!!

After school I had lunch with my classmates, Yoon Jae,Chris,Matt,Erika and Kaori.
We went to a Greek restaurant called "STEPHO'S".
All the dishes we had were so good!!

After that we went to STARBUCKS and we had a chat.
We talked about our own language.
Kaori knew many Korean words and phrases and Matt can speak Japanese well.
That's so funny.
We enjoyed Friday afternoon.

Then I went to "Chibi" and had a lesson with Kaori, Anne and Yumiko.
We played a vocabulary game.
Today's vocab. was simple but it's also difficult to explain in another way.

Anyway, I got counselling from Timothy today.
He asked me why my journal(about the future) was short and I answered
that I'm not good with imagination and didn't write a lot.
He said that many Japanese students have the habit of saying "I have no idea" as soon as they can't find answers, but they should try.
That makes sense...
And also he said that you should learn how to write a journal in English, pointing out that I didn't make any paragraphs.
He recommended me to take a "Power Writing" class in the next session.
I have to think which class I'll take.

Yesterday I had a dictation from the movie "Sleepless".
It was fun so I want to do it sometimes and I want to watch the rest of the story!!
